Yoga for Adults

Yoga4all offers a variety of different types of yoga classes, suitable for all levels of ability including beginners. 
Classes are a combination of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow, coordinating movement with breath. The class format includes Pranayama (breath control), Asana (yoga poses), relaxation and meditation. 

Pregnancy

Yoga for Pregnancy

Take time out for yourself and your growing baby to truly connect and blossom your bond together. Pregnancy yoga allows you to gentle build your strength and stamina ready for welcoming your baby into the world as well as giving you the tools to ease your mind to bring harmony within.

Suitable for second trimester onwards, after 14 weeks. Newcomers welcome at our Drop In sessions.

Yoga for SEN

Both mat and chair based classes available for children and adults with special needs including those with learning disabilities, autism and Asperger’s.

Some of the benefits of yoga practice include; improved strength and flexibility, improved balance and coordination, calmness and peace of mind, improved respiratory ability and capacity, improved focus and concentration.

Yoga for Parkinsons

Recent research reveals that the benefits of practicing yoga can help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s.  

Some of these benefits include improving balance and flexibility, lessening slowness, helping to improve mobility and build strength. Breathwork can also help with tremours. Research suggest that physical activity can slow down the progression of the condition.

These classes consist of adapted gentle yoga that can be practiced on a mat or in a chair, breathwork and relaxation.

Chair Yoga 

We offer Chair Yoga for adults

who have difficulty with floor work.

A gentle form of yoga practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. Chair yoga classes also include breath work and relaxation.
Some classes are subsidised and available in Pitsea, Canvey, Leigh, Westcliff-on-sea and Shoeburyness.

Mother and Baby

Yoga for Mother & Baby

Practicing yoga with your baby helps the two of you bond and have some special time together. Classes are suitable for Mums following the 6 week GP check and have been advised it is safe to start exercising. If Mum has had a C-Section or any other trauma it is advised to wait 12 weeks after giving birth before participating in a class.

Yoga On-Demand

Yoga4all offers online yoga classes for all ages and are suitable for all levels including beginners.
Classes are a combination of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow, coordinating movement with breath. The class format includes Pranayama (breath control), Asana (yoga poses), relaxation and meditation.

For pre-recorded sessions, OnDemand, Subscription and Rent-to-View are
also available.

Yoga on Prescription

The Yoga4Health on Prescription 10 week programme was created to support NHS patients to gain self care skills. It is an evidence based programme that was commissioned by the NHS and created by the Yoga in Health Care Alliance

 

It uses yoga techniques combined with modern medical science and does not promote any religious or spiritual belief.

 

Practices are very gentle and can be practiced on a mat or in a chair.

Yoga for Kids

Yoga classes are made fun using story, songs, games and poses, helping children to develop important skills in a supportive and non-competitive environment. All our teachers are experienced, DBS checked and insured.

Mother and Daughter Yoga

Yoga for Parent & Toddler

In this class you will be able to bond and have fun with your little one while practicing yoga in a playful way that engages the child and parent together.

This class will be a mixture of breathing, relaxation and fun poses. 

All class members are asked to complete the health questionnaire, which you receive by email, once you have booked online. Newcomers welcome at our Drop In sessions.

Yoga for Dementia

Yoga supports people with dementia.

Yoga can be very beneficial for people living with dementia.  

It helps keep people active in a gentle way including improving balance and co-ordination. Yoga also helps to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression and helps to promote relaxation.

Free Yoga

Yoga for Recovery

Yoga4Recovery is a 6-week rolling programme in Southend-on-Sea. 

 

Six weekly classes of specialist yoga therapy for those interested in, or already in recovery from addiction or alcoholism. 

 

The classes are tailor made to help
those in recovery learn and utilise self-care tools such as building strength, maintaining balance, and enabling the nervous system to restore in recovery.
