YOGA ON PRESCRIPTION
The Yoga4Health on Prescription 10 week programme was created to support NHS patients to gain self care skills. It is an evidence based programme that was commissioned by the NHS and created by the
It uses yoga techniques combined with modern medical science and does not promote any religious or spiritual belief.
Practices are very gentle and can be practiced on a mat or in a chair.
A weekly yoga class running for 10 weeks.
​Classes are themed each week.​ Home practice between classes is recommended.
The course is suitable for people;
Suffering with stress, mild anxiety or depression.
At risk of Type 2 diabetes or a cardiovascular event.
Suffering from social isolation.

The programme teaches;
Yoga breathing Yoga poses Gentle stretching
Relaxation and Mindfulness techniques
